Email Safety

Wednesday, July 29, 2009 14:43

Email is still the most used form of online communication. We use it in our daily business and personal lives. Unfortunately email has its problems: spam clutters our inboxes, malicious people try to steal personal and business information, and Aunt Mary has sent yet another silly cat picture that’s infected with the latest mutant computer virus.

There are ways to protect yourself. The three basic rules in email safety:

  1. Don’t respond to unsolicited email.
  2. Never open attachments or links in unsolicited email.
  3. Never give out personal information via email.
